Contemplating the

Nature of Experience

At the core of all great spiritual traditions is the essential discovery that experience is not divided into a perceiving subject, an entity known as “I,” and a perceived object, world or other. This understanding is sometimes referred to as non-duality, and is shared by all teachers, sages, and mystics throughout time.

Rupert’s great gift is the gentleness and precision of his pointing as he escorts us on a leisurely walk through the maze of our sense perceptions, bodily sensations and thoughts.

This exploration is designed to demonstrate the fallacy of our inherited beliefs about reality and reveal the facts of our experience, our true nature.

In Rupert’s meetings, we look clearly and simply at the nature of our experience and are led gently but directly to see that our essential nature is neither a body nor a mind, but the conscious presence that is aware of this and every experience.  Ultimately, we discover this presence of Awareness as not just the witness but simultaneously the substance of all experience. This intimacy of experience is known as Love.
